Siddhartha Foundation believes strongly in Corporate Social Responsibility. This aspect is manifested through several of its outreach activities which are carried out by Siddhartha School to promote and sustain India’s rich cultural heritage and natural heritage. Siddhartha school assistes the Foundation in conducting all outreach programs.
From its inception, Siddhartha Central School has strived to make its students aware of the importance of being a responsible ‘eco-citizens’. In the past, these efforts have seen very successful drives for reducing and banning the use of cheap and environmentally hazardous plastic bags, and firecrackers on Diwali. We constantly encourage students to reduce- reuse-recycle- materials made from natural resources. Students distribute paper, cloth and jute bags in the residential areas, going home to home to promote an eco-friendly society. A drive was launched to discourage synthetic drinks and promote indigenous drinks for a healthy mind and body. The campus is planted with various medicinal plants, herbs and spices.
Siddhartha Central School students are helped to master the expanding horizons of technology. To entwine science and projects students get hands on experience with the science fest conducted in the school premises once every three years. Our students have proved their mettle in the field of Sports as well. A student has been declared as the winner of the Asia Book of Records in art. It has been our perpetual endeavour to inculcate the traditional values in our students and encourage them to love and appreciate our rich and colourful heritage. To revive the dwindling spirit of our Indian artistic and cultural heritage, SCS conducts an art fest every year. ‘The Civic Project’ was introduced to the students to enable the student to develop a deep sense of awareness and responsibility towards the community through interaction with various members of the community. The project is about the study of roads in the neighborhood in the city.
